Because the last halloween picture was a bit fail (!the arm + Perspective OTL) i decided i'll draw definitively a new one. But first i didn't have any idea. Then i thought Halloween is about getting sweets so i choose them. THIS picture is the reason why i don't take request anymore. I could still "kill" this person. But from the beginning. Someone ask me in november last year if i could draw him something as a request. He told me that he will be visiting his girlfriend on christmas. She lives in the US and he in the UK (or the other way around idk anymore) whatever...He asked me if i could draw his girlfriend. Naive as i am i said yes and i tried my best to draw her. I send him the final artwork and then...no reply ever. No thanks. Nothing. ¬___¬ It were ok if he said thanks some weeks ago but nothing. So this picture was waste of time...

it doesn't look like my "normal" works, because it should look similar to her.

This is a birthday present for miyachan. The upper image was the sketch and the picture below is the final result (as you can see i changed the colors a bit^^). I drew it completly in SAI, only the stars in the backround are made in Photoshop CS4

The left arm is different too. But i had a problem while i drew this. I merge the layer of my outlines and the layer of my sketch but i didn't notice it. So i saved the file and closed it. ._. I could save the outline by playing around with the contrasts and brightness. So i had my outlines but the sketch was gone, so i had to improvise^^;

The problem with MURO

I was bored so i tested muro again. If you really "want to draw good pictures" you need a wacom tablet and you have to install the plugin. First problem i didn't find the link to the plugin. i searched a bit on deviantart and found it in a description of a deviation. (actually the link have to be on the muro site, but it wasn't there ¬_¬). Everthing works fine until i switched the browers to look a twitter. When i returned the plugin didn't work anymore. I had the same problem when i drew the first drawing with muro too. (btw. this image is a "sequel" of that) >-< wth it's pain to draw without this plugin, so i cancelled it. So here is the result of 30 min sketching ._. Maybe i'll finish it with Photoshop^^. Should i do it?

Muro can be fun, but i prefere photoshop and sai :3

No manga style this time. Sorry for all who follow this blog (thank you sooo much for the 27! followers btw ^o^ ) for my manga style drawings^^. This is a birthday present for my grandma :3 I drew it today although her birthday is in september xD. It was a good (real) test for my masking fluid and i have to say i love it :D I hope so that my grandma will like it and maybe you like it too ;). Next time there will be "normal" stuff. xD

PS: The scan isn't perfect, because the paper is bigger than my scanner and i had to scan it two times and put the pieces together :)

Lately I have a lot of ideas in my brain which i want to draw. I drew the most in the last 3 weeks but i still have ideas. One of them is the "Three wise monkeys" topic. Maybe you know the saying "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" (german: "nichts sehen, nichts hören, nichts sagen"). I made a few sketches but i'm not sure if i should draw it like the sketch below (3 separate pictures in a row) or "one" picture. I still sketching and i'd glad if have a final sketch in the future. xD

The summer is already gone so i drew a summer feeling picture. It's a speedpaint because i drew it in less than one hour^^. but i really like it :) it was a good distraction

And this is the opposite. It was a point of my to-do-list xD. Snow, ice and blue.

meaning: she has a frozen heart... she don't want to feel anything and put her heart into an block of ice. So it's protected from pain and bad feelings because she's sick of it and don't wanna feel pain anymore. But now that her heart is frozen she don't feel anything (-> whole body is blue and cold)

Her feelings are hurt and hinder her to say something (mouth closed). She can't do anything too (the gun symbolizes her reaction which didn't happen because the butterfly blocks it.) She's paralyzed bye her hurt feelings (butterfly on her foot -> can't stand up). The broken glass next to her are the future which is destroyed by the words. "

I'm not in the best mood but i want to share the full sketch and draft from my last picture with you.

The sketch and the draft.

Here the finished artwork:

As i said it's inspired by Lady Gaga's song "So happy i could die":

"Happy in the club with a bottle of red wine
Stars in our eyes 'cause we're having a good time
Eh eh, so happy I could die"

And here are my interpretations:

This artwork is about the escape of reality by alcohol and the addiction of alcohol. (same topic as the song) maybe you can't see it but she wears a t-shirt with a sad smile and her tears ruined her make-up. (that means she was unhappy until she drank alcohol) So she wants to be happy and drinks alcohol to feel better. To be in an other world. Full of happiness and without fears/pain/sadness etc. The bottle and the colors symbolize this "sweet escape" -> stars, smiles, colors. as against the main color *blue* (sadness, loneliness, etc...)
The chains are broken. She feels free in the rush. She's so happy she could die...

Another interpretation: She drinks because she wants to have fun and the broken chains symbolize that she can be who she wants to be and leave her old "life" behind.

This post is dedicated to the first drafts of a artwork. Before i'll start drawing, i think about a rough concept and make a sketch. Sometimes i make one sketch but there are days where i have to make +10 sketches too :D. If i like the sketch i think about the colors. I roughly color the sketch and change them until i like the result and than i start with the real picture. :) Beneath you can see the draft of some pictures of mine. Hmm...i noticed that i don't have one coloration style lately. So i thought a lot about it and today i experimented with my old coloration style from 2008/2009. I really love this style and maybe it'll have a comeback.

While i was on hiatus (march and april) i made a lot o sketches. Practicing backgrounds, different angles, themes and scenarios. But also it was my blue "phase". I mean that i use the color blue many times^^. So here a few WIP's.

This was a practice for drawing clouds :). The next two have the same theme. But i tried different angles. But somehow i'm still not satisfied.

Sketchbook

Maybe some people noticed that i have a sketchbook since november last year. I use it mostly for watercolors because you can sketch and color it really quick :D. Atm i drew 14 pages and it goes on. Here it one of them:

It's a small bday present for a friend on deviantart: yenni-vu.The other entries of my sketchbook can you find here. Btw i'll plan two new posts: one about which brushes/programms i use for my pictures and the other post about my progress in the recent 5,5 (nearly 6) years. Let's see when i can write them because i think i'll need a bit more time for them to write :)

While i browse through my sketchblog i found some WIPs which i had never finished. So i'll continue to working on a few artworks. (also i can further test out my new custom brush :D )

ok. finally i changed the layout. It's not perfect but i like it. Maybe i'll change some details but not today. In the next days/weeks/months (? XD) i'll post the sketches from the last..eh...5 months ^^;. But i have to search them all but this needs time. So i begin with a junk i drew today. Ok the rough sketch of the head exists since last year and i colored it a bit too. But today i was bored and i drew her body. At the moment i experiment with a new coloration style. It's not perfect but i'll work on it.

I don't know why but atm these are my current favorit colors xD. But they fit perfectly with the mood i wanted to create because it should express "summer feeling". Because after weeks of cloudy, rainy and cold weather we've got finally a sunny and warm weekend :D. So i'll spend a lot of time in the garden and read some books xD

I should update my sketchblog ^^°. I didn't post anything since january but i drew a few things in the last 3 months. Some artworks and a few sketches and junks. But before i'll show these i try to design a new layout for this blog. Stay tuned °-°v
